Originally it was just some cute OP for a supposedly cute game, but for some reason it became one of the most parodied opening sequences ever! The good thing about it is the quality of some of those parodies. This is quite a hard piece to spoof, and yet many a MAD-maker proved to me yet again how much time and dedication they have in their hands. There's just so many of them out there, it's so hard to cherry-pick the good ones, so the ones featured here are some of my favorites. Searching for "kishimen" (or much better "きしめん") along with the name of the anime of choice, and chances are there will be one.

I have seen some of these before but never knew about it being an anime meme. It's amazing how they can churn out such excellent parodies sometimes.

I LOVE this.
I saw this before along with the Lucky Star and Clannad parodies..
But I didn't know that there are more..

I didn't know about this Nursery Rhyme so I ran the embedded clip. The subtitles are "perverted" for maximum hentai effect. Examples:
"オ ナ ニ も好きだよ" (original "こんなにも好きだよ")
"せつない穴と尻" (original "せつない眼差し")
Perhaps this is where the "kishimen" (original "抱きしめ") started?
The correct subtitle version is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xy6QL5TJx-A . This subtitled version makes more sense but is totally boring.
