in the manga it was ashura castle and the the guy fighting ashura is from RG Veda also. (too lazy to look up his name xp)

you missed Ashura from Celes – RG Veda (I believe the castle might also be ashura castle from RG Veda too)

Seems pretty obivious that Tsubasa is pretty much CLAMP's take on Kingdom Hearts…

With that said, it should have been Disney/Square-Enix/CLAMP in the first place.
