To Heart 2: Karin Sasamori

Generic disclaimer: Same basic rules apply as in my To Heart 2 project. Please do comment or contact me in case I have mistakes in describing each girl's scenario.

She's the second girl I finished in playing To Heart 2. Part of the reason is that her scenario is quite short. She doesn't appear too much until the latter half of the general timeline. Anyway, I've compiled a list where she has appeared in my detailed To Heart 2 project:

Karin = energy! She's very energetic and fun! She likes egg sandwich. Her spikey yellow hair fits her personality well, and she has this weird hobby of loving anything mysterious! Yup, she has formed this Mystery Club at school, which has some mystery to it as well. For one, why is Takaki the only one recruited? Well anyway, these are some of the major events that happened in Karin's scenario.

Dare da?
Karin does the "guess who" thingie, where she covers Takaki's eyes and make him guess who she is. Some sweet answers from Takaki. At first, he calls her as Sasamori-san. Days later, she does this again, but this time, he calls her 'Karin-chan'. She's quite flattered!

Hypnotism
They were experimenting on this hypnotism thing where the hypnotized would tell the "truth" on every question he/she was asked! Takaki, being the hypnotized, was asked by Karin some… 'revealing' questions. She keeps asking what kind of girl Takaki likes, and the answers lead to someone like Karin! When she asks directly though, the hypnotism ends, hehe.

Computer
They used the computer for some mystery research.

Forest
Were they going for an excursion trip on a nearby forest looking for UFO's or something? I'm not quite sure, but some funny stuff happen anyway… oof I actually forgot, sorry.

Library
Reading some mystery books and stuff.

Orange coffee
There was this weird date of theirs where Karin mentioned some drink made up of orange and coffee. Weird drink.

Sandwich
One day, Karin looks like she's dying of hunger! She asks Takaki to buy some egg sandwich… quick!

Chasing Yuki
Karin notices some mysterious person hanging around. Actually it was Yuki. Karin chases but she didn't reach. Karin thought Yuki was an alien or UFO!

Lab experiments
They do some weird lab experiments. Something went… BOOM. Well, I think she'll get scolded for that.

Game Center
One Sunday, Karin asks Takaki for a date in the arcades!! They did the Neoprint. While waiting for the little stickers to appear, Karin seems to want to tell something to Takaki. She's kinda afraid that this is the last… last what? Anyway, she thanks Takaki quite formally, which seems to indicate further that something would happen in the future.

Ending
Indeed, something did. I'm not sure if she was scolded because of the BOOM lab experiments, but it seems that her Mystery Club is going to be abolished. Wait, but Takaki talked to some teacher-in-charge, and he actually doesn't know that a Mystery Club exists? What could it mean?

In any case, Karin seems to be lying to Takaki all along. Takaki thinks that the Mystery Club is an official club, but I guess with mere two members, it shouldn't be. Apparently, Japanese schools seem to require more members in club, or course, so that the financial support by the school won't be wasted on unpopular clubs. Usually, clubs with few members are abolished.

Anyway, Takaki finds Karin crying somewhere outside. She apologizes for fooling Takaki into the Mystery Club. She apologizes too for not being a "normal girl". Apparently it's been bothering her that Takaki may like normal girls only. Takaki, of course being in love with Karin, doesn't mind any of that. In fact, Takaki says that the funny and weird stuff they do in the otherwise fake club made it all worthwhile. Takaki is thankful to have met Karin.

Well after that, Karin cheers up. This is where I didn't understand something. Anyway, they went back to the forest, and… some part of it is on fire! I'm thinking that Takaki and Karin asked for help while trying to extinguish it. Dawn came, and the fire was already controlled. It was yet another memorable event for them, and then they kiss.

Epilogue
It seems that they're back again in the gym backroom. Dunno if they are still doing club work, but it seems they're having the usual… weird… fun again. Good for them, I guess.

Well, it's been short but sweet. Karin-chan is quite the feisty girl indeed.
